The Os entered a new season with high hopes for a record setting third win in a row. Instead, they faced a motivated Beer Run squad who apparently had simmered through the offseason looking at the bulletin board material from the Os convincing victory to close out the prior season. Meanwhile, the Os suffered through their typical first game of the season malaise, only scoring 9 points in the first half and falling behind 26-9 at the break. The Os were not able to defend Beer Run's tall guy.

Despite the slow start, the Os played a solid second half, pulling to within 10 with a few minutes to play. However, the rally was not enough and Beer Run managed to pull away toward the end. Unfortunately, the end of the game was marred by a hard foul and the second game in a row where a Beer Run guy felt compelled to try to fight the always violent Os. The referees called the game with 0:46 seconds left on the clock, prematurely ending the Os chance at a comeback.

The Ophy voting was close, since no O had a particular stellar game. New O, "And None," pulled in a vote with his 5 points and 10 rebounds. Steve-O had a solid game with 9 rebounds and solid inside play, garnering him 2 votes. E-Bomb had 5 points and 5 rebounds, worth a couple votes. However, the upset Ophy winner was Charmaine, with 3 votes. She immediately dedicated her win to all statkeepers everywhere in recognition of their hard work and lack of recognition.
