Game 100 - vs. Sub!
(34-30)
The Os' game 100 proved to be a game for the ages. After losing their first 6 games against Sub!, the Os finally broke through with a win. Capping a 4-6 season (an Os record for wins and tying their record for winning percentage), the Os came back from a 6 point halftime deficit for a 34-30 win.
With the adrenaline that comes with a monumental game, the Os got off to a fast start, taking a 14-7 lead. However, as the adrenaline wore off, the lead was whittled down by Sub!. Some bad luck and sloppy playing let sub take a 22-16 lead at halftime.
In the second half, nothing was going to keep the Os from recording their 10th win all-time. The Os came back to tie and take the lead and then the game became a seesaw battle of veteran C- league teams. Key outside baskets by the "Daggers," Big D and Duggo helped the Os to tie and take a lead they would not relinquish. Critical free throws down the stretch by Roster Guard gave the Os the last points they would need for the win.
Fittingly, in a game where 7 out of 8 Os scored and a monumental game in Os history, the Ophy was voted to the whole team. As luck would have it, Big D and Duggo just so happened to have made commemorative Ophies for the team. Several Os had good games. E-Bomb posted a "double-seis" with 6 point and 6 rebounds. Roster Guard had a career high 10 rebounds to go with 8 points. On a bad ankle, Steve-O pitched in 5 rebounds. At one time or another, Lil' Joe, Buckets, Big D and Duggo all contributed key baskets that helped to make the win possible.
