I Don't Know
(1997 - 1998)

His favorite color was light blue,  his existence was meaningless, but his story is the framework of inspiration. 3 days before Christmas Day, in 1997, I Don't Know was selected from a myriad of fish, all ranging in size, shape, temperament, and color. By providence he was chosen from the vat of feeder fish upon the muttering of the words, "Go ahead pick any of em', they are all about the same..."

It was then that I Don't Know was bought, though the markets of men value his life at a mere 7 cents, it was apparent then that his life would mean so much more. Around Christmas time, the then owner of I Don't Know was asked what to name his fish, to which he responded, "I Don't Know." For the next month and a half I Don't Know swam around the confines of his half-liter fish bowl, enjoying every day as though it were his last. His hobbies include swimming, eating, sleeping, and burrowing under rocks.

The last time I Don't Know was seen alive was on January 30th, where probably the last words he ever heard were, "I'll give him enough food to survive the weekend" On February 1st, at 9:13 a.m., the chilling discovery of I Don't Know's death was found, as he lay floating in his home. Funeral services were held on February 1st at 9:14 a.m. and burial services were held on the same day at 9:15 a.m., no autopsy was performed. He was 2 and a half months old.

I Don't Know was a fish who liked to swim and have fun. He found joy in his daily routines and we are sure he has no regrets about the life that he led, except for his dying alone. I Don't Know is survived by no immediate family that are known, but most likely has many relatives.
